Donating to the Children's Grief Center of New Mexico

I had a friend growing up named Paul.  That's him in the photo in the center with the brown jacket.  Paul is not with us anymore. He died before graduation.  And grief was hard for me to deal with as a teenager.

Hard for a lot of people, actually.  Lots of them kids.

In memory of Paul's love for creative writing and in order to help today's children in these times of loss, I am raising funds for the Children's Grief Center of New Mexico. Here's how.

I wrote this game called Redshirt's Personal Log. It's a creative writing game you can play by yourself in about an hour with a deck of cards, a Jenga tower, and other household items. You play a little card game to generate writing prompts about what your character's life in a Star Trek-like universe. You are one of the crew with a short life expectancy, a sense of duty, a good team around you, and friends you might not see again.

Writing this game reminded me a lot of being with Paul in high school.

The game was released about a week ago and it's doing well. So I want to use the game to make a difference.

Suggested price is $3, but you can donate more if you like, or get it free if you're just curious.

All money from the sale of the game will go to the CGCNM non-profit. In addition, I will gift-match total sales through April 18, 2023 up to $250 out of my pocket. Maybe more, but certainly no less.

Please consider donating for a copy and spreading the news around.
